It is a breakthrough in a sense of sensitivity technology. She was doing a series of extensive user research, interviews, observations, and testing with a group of students from the Royal National Institute of Blind People in the United Kingdom, to get this new concept of cell phone.
The SENS phone has the “dimple” on the five key and it has combines touch sensors and regular keypad phone to provide an audible feedback to the user, so when people with visual insufficiency touches a certain key then the phone will tells them what key has been touched without addressed it as an input. Until they sure it is their desired key from the feedback sound they gain by hovering across the keys, then they can press it again for submit it as an input. SENS also provide a click sound for noticing the user choice has been registered.
Integrated Bluetooth option also provided to make sure a particularly user gets to hear the feedback sound in public space. And color illumination feature will be able to indicate various notifications status like low battery, incoming calls, and messages.
